PART OF Part of Tinden

Initial configuration

Prestige is very easy to install and configure. Installation on server can be done remote or directly on the related server. Installation of the different clients is done through the ordinary distribution framework and routines in the networks in question. When the desired functionality is agreed with the customer representatives, the rest of the setup is then done by going through the different options and business rules in the solution and setting them right in the Admin module.

User friendlines

The Prestige clients are built based on Microsoft .NET. This ensures that all the different parts of the user interface are according to Microsoft’s standard functional requirements.

Ease of reconfiguration/setup for new projects

Changing fundamental configuration for an existing project or setting up a new project is done in the Admin module by a user with admin privileges. This does not require any assistance from Tinden.

Interface to other systems such as electronic import/export of data from/to other project tools

  • General export from built-in grids: In Prestige there is extensive use of grid functionality. The grids behave very much in the same way as MS Excel. In all grids the user can select arrays of data, right click and export the data directly to MS-Excel. Prestige will then open MS-Excel and present the data to the user in MS-Excel.
  • Import function: There is a built-in import function in order to support import from MS-Excel. This covers data related to tags, planning structures etc.
  • Export of Bulk and Equipment data in MON format: Prestige does provide data in a format suited for import to MON. This is done by predefined reports in Excel format.
  • Intergraph Smartplant/PIM: Prestige has a general interface against Intergraph’s Smartplant solution. This enables Prestige to exchange information related to tags, datasheets, documents and change elements.
  • PDMS: At present Prestige can receive data related to PDMS objects such as tags.
  • MTO against SAP:  Prestige has a function that produces an MTO from the Engineering module. Based on the MTO one can create a purchase requisition in a purchasing system. Status information regarding the different purchasing items are them fed back into Prestige through this same interface and updated on the workorders and in the Engineering module. Currently Prestige has an ready built interface against SAP. Implementing this interface vs other purchasing solutions is a rather simple task.
  • Exchanging information with StatoilHydro: Prestige handles electronic interface via XML and services with StatoilHydro’s PIM solution. StatoilHydro’s PIM solution is based on Intergraph’s Smartplant. Trough this type of interface StatoilHydro allows for bi-directional interface exchanging information about tag, datasheets, documents and change elements (TQs, VORs etc)

Plug-in engineering tools

At present Prestige does not offer support for any Plug-In engineering tools.

Standard templates/reports for generation of engineering deliverables

There are built-in templates covering:

  • SMDL
  • MTO
  • Lists
  • Indexes
  • etc

Ability to supply functionality for optional engineering deliverables

Producing new or modified Engineering reports is very simple using the built in MS-Excel export functions in Prestige

Ease of reconfiguration for adding new templates and engineering reports

Depending on the complexity of the reports, most reports are easily added without having to redistribute the whole application to the users.

Standards

Prestige complies with the NORSOK standard in all code structures, naming conventions etc.
